some people are fucked up.

rewaphotography showed me this video

I’ve seen this! It pisses me off everytime I watch it

this makes me sick..

Bitch I will whack you ten times harder!!!!! >:(

holy shit, like really? If my mom/trainer/friends/barn manager saw me do this, they would take my horse away from me and disown me from the equine world!

Okay so you guys are mad about this girl’s horse ducking out of the jump and then her smacking it? Please. She’s clearly young and at a show. She was probably nervous and wanted to win, and her horse ducked out of the jump, not only dropping her, and yes, she clearly lost her temper, but come on, who hasn’t? You guys are judging this kid when she clearly doesn’t deserve it.
And! It’s not your fucking horse! Get the hell over it! Focus on your own shit, not what one person does with their own fucking horse. This isn’t abuse. This isn’t cruelty. Good god, people.

^^Yes it fucking is abuse.  If she does it once, she’ll probably do it again if the horse does something like that.  That’s NOT how you punish a horse.  I do not fucking care if it’s not my horse.  It’s a living creature and it should not be treated that way.  ”It’s not your horse” is the worst argument people can have.  It might be property, but it’s a living creature all the same.

This is not abuse. She was out of line, yes, and maybe you have a different opinion of abuse than I do, but this is not abuse. Her reaction is not the one I would find ideal for this situation, but it’s, frankly, none of my business how someone else treats their horse. And, yes, it’s still a living creature, but it’s still none of my goddamn business how someone else treats their horse. I only watched the video because I thought—judging by the comments—that someone had killed their horse or something. And if she does it again, hopefully its not on camera.
I fail to see how ‘it’s not my horse’ is a poor argument. People judge everyone else but become furious when they themselves are judged. If it’s not my horse, it’s not my problem. I pass no judgement unless I’m being paid for it.
And, anyway, you’re the one who said horses are less intelligent than us. That, in my opinion, is stupid.

Where did I say a horse is less intelligent in the argument?  No where.  You are messed up, and I hope you don’t do the same to your horses.   If I see a horse get abused I am going to be mad.  If I see it in real life I am going to DO something about it whether it’s my goddamn horse or not.

Take your ignorance somewhere else.  Lol you troll.

Looked at your blog.
…I’m not trolling. I’m merely expressing my opinion, and since it’s different than yours, I’m clearly in the wrong. Her reaction is not what mine would have been, and believe me, I’ve been dropped plenty of times. I am never mad at a horse when I’ve fallen off. And that’s what happened. She blamed the horse for her own mistake. That’s not abuse. That’s ignorance and poor horsemanship. But it’s still none of my business.

You were tagging the posts with stupid statements, so I assumed you were a troll.   According to you you’re stupid because you have autism.

I’m sorry, but I agree with Swive, that it isn’t abuse… it’s just a bad decision. The horse can (and did) clearly run away, and it was probably just a moment of frustration. I wouldn’t do this, but I wouldn’t be kind and loving if my horse dogged me like that - she didn’t miss the distance, and was set up for the jump well, so this was her horse deciding to not play anymore, which all horses do on occasion. She probably got yelled at for that, so it’s unlikely she’ll do it again - especially after all the hate she’s getting from the video that’s gone viral in the horse world. And it’s true that while you may not agree with something someone does, it doesn’t mean you should attack them for it. If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all - this is probably just making this girl miserable if she’s seen this, and she’s likely more than remorseful for this.
